KYBELLA

WHAT IS KYBELLA?

Kybella is an injectable treatment for excess fat under the chin—or submental fat—that works by dissolving fat cells. Its active ingredient is an acid that mimics one produced naturally in the body.

Kybella is especially popular because submental fat is often highly resistant to changes in diet and exercise: many patients find that even when they achieve optimal levels of fitness, fat stored beneath the chin refuses to budge.

HOW MANY TREATMENT SESSIONS WILL I NEED?

Treatment is quick and minimally invasive, but the effect of Kybella is cumulative. Most patients need 3-4 treatments before they begin to see the outcomes they wish for, and some require as many as six administrations of Kybella. Because it works so aggressively, doctors strictly limit each administration of Kybella, and reputable physicians will not support new injections within a month of a previous treatment.

Once Kybella’s effects have been achieved, they are permanent: the fat cells responsible for the patient’s initial condition can no longer store fat. Any fat destroyed by Kybella is removed through the body’s natural processes, as is any unused remnant of the compound itself.

I AM INTERESTED. HOW SHOULD I PROCEED?

Dr. Stout’s goal during the consultation is to provide the patient with information and teach them as much as possible. He begins by listening and will ask the patient what they would like to discuss and what their goals are. The patient’s input is very important. This allows Dr. Stout to work together with the patient through the decision-making process and establish a plan based upon their goals. He believes that knowledge is empowering as it enables his patients to make decisions with confidence and makes them a better partner in the entire process.

Our treatments are designed to provide patients with rejuvenated looks, using a common-sense philosophy that always focuses on what’s best for the individual patient first.
